The pendant on this necklace is made with Leland Blue Stone which is produced from slag, a byproduct of the iron smelting industry that operated in Leland, Michigan, in the late 1800's. The pendant hangs on a 18" sterling silver chain so it lays just about the center of your chest. With proper care, sterling silver will last a long time without tarnishing.
